2018 – Investigator.  17-F-002308. Murder, robbery 1st degree, tampering with physical evidence, and wanton endangerment 1st degree:  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Gerad Carter. Plea negotiated.  Murder amended to Manslaughter 2nd degree. Robbery amended to robbery 2nd degree. Client received 10+5+5 concurrent.

2018 – 17-CR-003708. Investigator.  Murder (3 counts), arson 1st degree, and wanton endangerment (15 counts).  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Da’Nesha L. Peden. 

2018 – Investigator. 15-F-005913. Murder, robbery 1st degree, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, tampering with physical evidence, persistent felony offender 1st:  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Charles L. Richardson. Through litigation evidence of intellectual disability Commonwealth withdrew notice to seek death penalty but still sought LWOP.  Trial with guilty verdict. Client received LWOP 25. 

2018 – Investigator. 16-F-008154.  Murder, tampering with physical evidence, and abuse of a corpse:  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Jonathan Lewis Herndon. Plea negotiated.  Client was facing life but received 28 years.

2018 – Investigator. 15-CR-1332-002. Murder, robbery 1st degree, theft by unlawful taking, traffic in marijuana, trafficking in a controlled substance 1st offense:    Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Fahed “Adam” Abu-Diab. Plea negotiated.  Robbery 1st degree, facilitation to murder. Client received 35 years 18 years are at 85%. 

2018 – Investigator. 17-CR-1783. Murder, robbery 1st degree, possession of a handgun by a felon, theft by unlawful taking-firearm, and tampering with physical evidence:  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Gemehr Murphy. – Plea negotiated. Client received 25 years.

2018- Investigator.  16-CR-2086. Murder (DV), and criminal abuse 1st degree- child 12 or under. Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Mauricio Martinez.  Plea negotiated. Client received 20 years at 85% and 5 years at 20%.

2018 – Investigator. 18-CR-000289. Murder (2 counts), burglary in the 1st degree, and tampering with physical evidence:  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Aaron Hernandez. Assigned in December 2018.  Acquitted. Found not guilty.

2018 – Investigator. 18-CR-000202. Murder -DV (3 counts), kidnapping minor, criminal abuse 1st degree –child under 12 (2 counts), tampering with physical evidence, and unlawful imprisonment 1st degree (2 counts): Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Christopher Olivo. Assigned February 2019.  

2018 – Investigator. 17CR893. Murder, robbery 1st degree, and tampering with physical evidence:  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Quenton Hall. –Conflicted from case reassigned.

2018 – Investigator. 17-CR-001873-002. 2 counts Murder (complicity), persistent felony offender 2nd degree, attempted assault 1st degree, burglary 1st degree (complicity), robbery 1st degree (complicity), enhanced possession of controlled substance 1st degree; 1st offense-cocaine, convicted felon in possession of a handgun, tampering with physical evidence (complicity), and receiving stolen property-firearm:  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Shaleta Harris. – Conflicted from case and reassigned.

2019 – Investigator. 19-CR-001260-002. Murder (complicity), robbery 1st degree (complicity), kidnapping-minor (complicity), enhanced trafficking in marijuana; 8 oz. to less than 5 lbs. 1st offense, convicted felon in possession of a firearm (complicity), theft by unlawful taking $500 or more but under $10,000 (complicity), and tampering with physical evidence (complicity):  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Tiffany Rena Taylor.  –Conflicted from case reassigned.

2018 – Investigator.  16-CR-930. Murder (2 counts), robbery 1st degree, trafficking in a controlled substance in the 1st degree while in possession of a firearm- schedule 1 heroin two grams or more and tampering with physical evidence:  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Brian Hutchinson. Plea negotiated.  Charges amended to Murder 2 counts, Robbery in 2nd degree, and tampering with physical evidence.  Client received 20 years at 85% and 10 at 20%.

2018 – Investigator. 18-CR-001385.  Murder, convicted felon in possession of a handgun, receiving stolen property-firearm, tampering with physical evidence, and persistent felony offender 1st degree.  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Brandon A. Johnson.  Assigned August 2018.  Plea negotiated.  Amended to Manslaughter in the 2nd degree- 10 years.  Possession of handgun by convicted felon- 10 years.  Receiving stolen firearm- 5 years. Tampering w/ physical evidence- 5 years.  All to run consecutive. Enhanced to persistent felony offender.  Total of 10 years at 85%.

2018 – Investigator. 15-CR-000767-001.  Murder (complicity) and robbery 1st degree (complicity):  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Ketrick Ballanger.  Plea negotiated. 15 years to serve.

2018 – Investigator. 18-CR-1866.  Murder, and robbery 1st degree. Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Ja’Quan McWilliams. Plea negotiated. Pled guilty to robbery in the 2nd degree.  Client received 10 years, probated for 5 years. 

2018 – Investigator.  17-F-006200.  Murder, and robbery 1st degree:  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Robert Crittenden.  Plea negotiated. Client was facing life.  Amended to Manslaughter 1st degree.  Client received 18 years.

2018 – Investigator.  18-F-013737. Murder and robbery 1st degree and tampering with physical evidence:  Commonwealth of Kentucky vs. Yacir Raful. Plea negotiated.  Client was facing up to LWOP.  Amended to Manslaughter 2nd degree, and robbery 1st degree.  Client received 12 years.

2018 – Investigator. 16-CR-2077.  Assault 1st degree, and wanton endangerment 1st degree (2 counts).  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Corey Duvan Gilbert.  Plea negotiated. Client received 10 years with 20% parole eligibility. 

2018 – Investigator. 18-CR-003222. Murder (2 counts), criminal attempted murder, and wanton endangerment 1st degree (2 counts):  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Gregory Alan Bush. Charged simultaneously in federal court.  Plea negotiated December 2020. Guilty but mentally ill on all charges and sentenced to LWOP. 

2018 – Investigator. 16-CR-1896. Murder (DV), and criminal abuse 1st degree- child 12 or under. Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Spindle L. Johnson. Plea negotiated.  Client received 20 years. 

2018 – Investigator.  18-CR-003427-002. Murder (complicity), and robbery 1st degree (complicity): Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Damion Hayes.  Conflicted from case and reassigned.

2018 – Investigator.  19-CR-000010.  Murder, and arson 1st degree:  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Christopher James Shuffett. Assigned November 2018. Plea negotiated.  Client pled to Reckless homicide and arson. Time served released date August 2021.

2019 – Investigator. 18-CR-003691. Murder (complicity), and robbery 1st degree (complicity): Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Devonte Travoy Walker.  

2019 – Investigator.  19-CR-0271-001. Murder (complicity), 2 counts robbery 1st degree (complicity), tampering with physical evidence (complicity), trafficking in marijuana 1st offense; greater than 8 oz. less than 5 lbs. (complicity), and assault 1st degree (complicity), receiving stolen property; firearm (complicity) and wanton endangerment 1st degree (complicity):  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. TayShon Ke’von Caudell.  Plea negotiated. Manslaughter 1st degree, robbery 1st degree (2 counts), wanton endangerment, tampering w/ physical evidence, receiving a stolen firearm.  18 years at 85%.  

2019 – Investigator. 19-CR-000166. Murder, robbery 1st degree, and tampering with physical evidence: Commonwealth of Kentucky v. William Alford Cissell.  Assigned in January.

2019 – Investigator.  09-CR-003016.  Murder, and robbery 1st degree:  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Percy Allen Phillips.  Trial. Hung jury.  Case dismissed. Will not retry.

2019 – Investigator. 19-CR-000900. Murder (DV), and violation of a Kentucky EPO/DVO:  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Yoilime Martinez-Diaz.

2019 – Investigator.  17CR3420, 18CR143, & 18CR3638. Possession of burglary tools, burglary, criminal syndication, engaging in organized crime, theft by unlawful taking, receiving stolen property, unlawful transaction with a minor, possession of a controlled substance.  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Christopher Atwell.  No true bill illegal possession of a controlled substance and receiving stolen property. Criminal syndication dismissed.  Plea negotiated.   Three incidents run consecutively.  Client received 10 years at 20% parole eligible, probated for 5 years.

2019 – Investigator. 19-CR-001966. Murder (2 counts), and assault 1st degree:  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Shawn Lamont Hollingsworth. Assigned in July. Trial.

2019 – Investigator.  19-CR-001829.  Murder (complicity) and robbery 1st degree (complicity):  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Christopher Darrell Johnson. Assigned in July 2019.

2019 – Investigator. 19-CR-002071-002.  Murder (complicity):  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Ja’Quan Christopher McWilliams. Assigned in July 2019.  Sentenced January 2022. Guilty plea to amended facilitation to murder.  Sentenced to 4 years.

2019 – Investigator. 19-CR-1838. Convicted felon in possession of a firearm, tampering with physical evidence, escape I, escape II.  19CR2283. Murder, robbery 1st degree, convicted felon in possession of a firearm (2counts), wanton endangerment 1st degree: Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Jeremiah Demetrius Wolfork.  Plea negotiated.  19CR1838 Client received 10 years at 20% parole eligible.  19CR2283 Client received 20 years at 85% parole eligible. Both sentences run consecutively. 

2019 – Investigator.  16-CR-003380. Tampering with physical evidence, and illegal possession of a controlled substance 1st –cocaine (complicity).  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Mohammad R. Beitulah.  Won motion to suppress evidence.   Evidence was suppressed case was dismissed without prejudice.

2019 – Investigator. 19-F-009373, and 19-F008781. Murder, robbery 1st degree, assault1st degree, persistent felony offender in the 1st degree, and tampering with physical evidence:  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Virg Alby Colyer. Plea of guilty to Murder, robbery 1st, assault 2nd degree, tampering w/ physical evidence, persistent felony offender.  28 years, all charges run concurrently.  Not eligible for parole or shock probation.  Must serve 20 years before becoming parole eligible.

2019 – Investigator.  19-CR-002948. Murder, robbery 1st, and tampering with physical evidence:  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Michelle Lenette Sarvis. December 2021 plead guilty.  Sentenced to 10 years in prison.  Plead to amended charges of second-degree manslaughter, second degree robbery, and tampering with physical evidence.

2020 – Investigator. 19-CR-001384. Murder (DV), and criminal abuse 1st degree- child 12 or under:  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Anthony Wayne Trice. 

2020 – Investigator. 20-CR-001379.  Murder (2 counts), and robbery 1st degree:  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Jennifer N. Kemp.  Assigned in June 2020. 

2020 – Investigator. 20-CR-001342-006. Murder, robbery 1st degree, and wanton endangerment 1st degree:  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Remeho Marnez Minefield Jr. Client sought private counsel.

2020 – Investigator.  20-CR-001749. Murder (3 counts). Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Michael E. Rhynes. Assigned August 2020.  Reassigned due to client sought private counsel. 

2020 – Investigator. 20-CR-001798. Murder (2 counts), and arson1st degree. Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Alisha Rachele Abell. In progress.  Assigned August 2020. 

2020 – Investigator. 17-CR-001410.  Secondary investigator added to case in progress.  Complicity Murder (complicity), kidnapping- victim death (complicity), and robbery 1st degree (complicity), attempt kidnapping- adult, and tampering with physical evidence (complicity).  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Misty Lynn McKnight-Horlander. Plead guilty to murder, kidnapping, and robbery.  Was sentenced to 25 years at 85%.

2020 – Investigator. 20-CR-1957.  Murder, robbery 1st degree. Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Ashton Clay Nally.   Charged simultaneously in federal court.  

2021- Investigator. 21K-000278. Murder 2 counts, domestic violence 2 counts. Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Thomas Virgil Hatfield.    

2021 – Investigator.  21-F-000705. Murder, wanton endangerment 1st degree, assault 1st degree, kidnapping-victim death, kidnapping-with serious physical injury, unlawful imprisonment, abuse of a corpse, and tampering with physical evidence.  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Samantha Leigh Johnson.

2021 – Investigator. 21- CR-000329. Murder, burglary 1st degree, convicted felon in possession of a handgun, tampering with physical evidence.  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Kameron Lamar Butler.

2021 – Investigator. 21-CR-000303. Murder, convicted felon in possession of a handgun.  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Brandon DeShawn Bartee.

2021- Investigator. 21-CR-00102. 21-CR-000104. 1st degree rape, 1st degree sodomy, 1st degree unlawful transaction w/ a minor less than 16 years old.  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Terrance Quantez Clark Jr. Mediation. Plea agreement reached. 

2021- Investigator. 20-CR-00328. 1st degree sexual abuse, 1st degree sexual abuse w/ a minor less than 12 years old. Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Byron C. Johnson.

2021- Investigator. 20-CR-819. Murder, robbery 1st degree, assault 1st degree, tampering with physical evidence, convicted felon in possession of a handgun. Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Jalen Williams. Trial. Guilty verdict.  Commonwealth offered 50 years.  Jury sentenced to 40 years.

2021- Investigator. 17-CR-00439. Sexual abuse 1st degree victim under 12 years of age.  Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Robert Carter. Case was dismissed.

2021- Investigator. 19-CR-00414. Sodomy 2nd degree, incest. Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Tommy Miller. Probated offer negotiated.  Incest charge was dropped.

2021- Investigator. 21-CR-001711. 21-M-004074. Murder. Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Bryan Bruce.

2020 – Investigator.  20-CR-001749. Murder (3 counts). Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Michael E. Rhynes. Assigned August 2020.  Reassigned due to client sought private counsel.  *Added back onto Mr. Rhynes team in July 2021 after being retained by private counsel.

2021- Investigator. 14-CR-000114-001. Murder, rape, sodomy, robbery 1st. Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Guy Marcus Allen. Acquitted.

2021- Investigator. 20-CR-000170. Murder (2 counts). Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Robert Montez Johnson.  Prosecutors offer 40 years at 85%. Jury trial.  Manslaughter 1st degree. 20 years at 85%. Manslaughter 2nd degree.  10 years at 85%. Consecutive.

2021- Investigator. 21-F-005841. Sexual abuse 1st degree w/ a victim under 12 years of age, attempted sexual abuse 1st degree w/ a victim under 12 years of age. Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Sandeep Kumar. Charges dismissed without prejudice.

2021- Investigator. 21-CR-00109. Rape 1st degree Class B felony, Sodomy 1st degree Class B felony, Assault 2nd degree, Domestic Violence, Terroristic Threatening 3rd degree Class A misdemeanor. Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Jeffrey Lee Terry. Charges of Rape and Sodomy dropped.  Plea agreement to probation on the Assault charge.

2022- Investigator. 21-CR-00046. Sodomy 1st degree, rape 1st degree, (2counts) incest victim under 12 years old w/ serious physical injury Commonwealth of Kentucky vs. Shane Moran.

2022- Investigator. 22-CR-00041. Murder (1 count) robbery 1st degree, persistent felony offender. Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Bradlee Simmons.

2022- Investigator. 18CR0089.  Post-conviction. 2019 plead guilty to Manslaughter 1st degree. Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Brina Nie.

2022- Investigator. 21-CR-00072. Rape 1st degree, Incest forcible compulsion incapable of consent w/ a child under 18. Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Danny Brown. Mediation plea agreement reached for 3 years probated for 5 on a non-sex offense.  No sex offender registry.

2022- Investigator. 21-CR-002422. Burglary 1st degree, fleeing and evading police 1st degree, assault 4th degree minor injury, violation of KY EPO. Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Victor Lamont Bibb Jr. Plea agreement reached. Burglary charge was dropped.

2022- Investigator. 21-CR-001580.  Theft by unlawful taking auto, criminal mischief 1st degree, criminal trespassing 3rd degree. Commonwealth of Kentucky v. Michael Rainwater.
